This is just absolutely appalling, lets hop that it doesn't happen over here. What's even more incredulous is that, apparently, some of the parents of those involved in perpetrating the attacks were actually cheering them on!
oh I've seen something very similar over here a few years ago in the under 14s, when players of a team between Halifax and Huddersfield kicked the hell out of a player whilst he was on the ground - parents didn't seem too upset by their sons actions either
That kind of violence in sport is always despicable. The length of ban involved will rightfully rule out an RL career (or even participation) for the guilty parties.
